Trouble is, I don't have a disk drive and my copy probably wouldn't work with the windows 10 laptop I have. Would appreciate any thoughts, ideas, or help. Online copy of the 5th edition of Oregon Trail Hi guys, I'm looking for a way to play Oregon trail, the 5th edition. I was able to run the 5th edition but I really prefer the 3rd edition so I I have Windows XP which might work once run in compatibility mode, but I didn't know how to set that up / kept getting errors doing that too. I also tried setting up a virtual computer but I don't have a windows 95 or 98 anymore. Tried copying the CD files to a separate folder on my desktop, I tried setting up a virtual drive with PowerISO, and a few other things from different youtube videos/searches. I tried running in compatibility mode, I tried my computer recommended compatibility mode settings, I I am trying to play this game either with my CDs or not. I have a 64-bit computer, but under the System Information tab it says I have a 32-bit computer. It sounds like it doesn't want to run because it thinks I have the 3 disks for the game and when I try to install them I get the following error message (image below). I am trying to play a game I enjoyed greatly as a child (Oregon Trail 3rd edition).
